Worldcoin collaborates with Alchemy to unveil World Chain
Worldcoin, a cryptocurrency project and digital identification platform, has joined forces with Alchemy, a Web3 infrastructure platform, to introduce its new blockchain called World Chain. The primary focus of this platform is to practical applications for the global community, particularly in the areas of decentralized finance (DeFi) and digital identity.
In an announcement, both Worldcoin and Alchemy expressed their intention to utilize Alchemy’s Web3 infrastructure to ensure reliability and foster community-driven growth.
World Chain, which was unveiled by Worldcoin in April, aims to be a blockchain that caters to human needs. It is built on Optimism’s OP Stack and seamlessly integrates with Ethereum, Coinbase, and other networks within the Superchain.
Worldcoin emphasized in April that World Chain’s proof of personhood technology is specifically optimized for humans, with an authentication system designed to deter bots. As a result, verified users will receive priority in terms of blockspace and gas allowance.
By prioritizing authenticated humans, developers will have the opportunity to reach millions of real people with applications that offer practical benefits and improve everyday life.
Through the partnership with Alchemy, World Chain will be able to launch on a large scale, with the potential to reach over 10 million users on World App. This collaboration enables World Chain developers to leverage Alchemy’s solution, gaining access to data APIs, indexing solutions, and other essential tools necessary for creating globally applicable apps.
One of the crucial tools provided by Alchemy is the account abstraction infrastructure, which plays a vital role in ensuring the security and safety of self-custodial wallets.

Worldcoin has announced that it will soon release a developer preview for World Chain, allowing projects to begin building on the blockchain before its full launch later this year.
