Web3-Enabled Customizable Denim Jacket Unveiled by Imaginary Ones and HUGO
Web3 entertainment company, Imaginary Ones, has partnered with fashion brand HUGO to introduce a revolutionary denim jacket that is integrated with web3 features. As part of HUGO’s denim-focused new line, HUGO BLUE, the special-edition jacket aligns with the brand’s strategy to engage with Gen-Z audiences through gaming and Metaverse platforms. The announcement of the jacket’s details was first made to the Imaginary Ones community on Discord and X on March 12. Starting from March 14, community members were able to purchase the physical jacket using Tether’s USDT, and all jackets were sold out within an hour of the launch.
The jacket comes with a DIY customization kit and features five exclusive patches from HUGO and Imaginary Ones. A near-field communication (NFC) tag beneath the HUGO flower patch allows users to access a WebAR-powered experience, enabling them to customize their digital wearables and share them on social media platforms without the need for a dedicated app. Users can also redeem the digital wearable for a unique Roblox skin, which can only be claimed through a secret bubble room within the game. In addition, users who customize their web3 jacket and redeem their Roblox skin will receive $350 worth of Imaginary Ones’ native token, BUBBLE Coin.
Furthermore, NFT holders in the Imaginary Ones community will receive a bonus of 10-30% more BUBBLE Coin for each NFT they own. Imaginary Ones CEO Clement Chia expressed excitement about these features, stating that they provide new and creative ways to engage and surprise users while offering personalized experiences. Chia also emphasized the company’s commitment to collaborating with progressive brands in order to challenge the status quo and create distinctive and memorable experiences in the web3 space.
Imaginary Ones has been actively establishing its presence in the web3 gaming community and has successfully launched two web3 games, Bubble Rider and Bubble Rangers, in 2023, both of which feature in-game NFTs. This recent collaboration with HUGO follows Imaginary Ones’ partnership with web3 venture capital firm Animoca Brands, through which the company aims to leverage Animoca’s expertise and resources to strengthen its tokenomics and go-to-market strategy.
