Mobile gaming network Taki Games has made significant moves to establish a presence in the web3 space. These include a successful merger with Unite, expansion to the Polygon network, and a partnership with leading Polygon decentralized exchange (DEX) Quickswap.

As part of its expansion onto Polygon, Taki Games has joined forces with Unite, the team responsible for the popular web3 and NFT project, Kungfuverse. This merger resulted in former Unite CEO Weiwei Geng becoming the new CEO of Taki Games.

In addition, Taki Games has collaborated with Quickswap to access deep liquidity, allowing for seamless transfers of its TAKI token between Solana, where Taki Games initially gained traction, and Polygon. This collaboration involves the launch of a dedicated liquidity pool for Taki’s bridged token and a TAKI/MATIC pool.

Taki Games’ decision to pivot to Polygon comes after its web3 social product attracted 1 million users on the network. By leveraging Polygon’s infrastructure, Taki Games can power its portfolio of mobile games connected to the TAKI currency while accelerating the convergence of web2 and web3 gaming.

As part of the merger with Unite, Taki Games invested $2.5 million in fiat and TAKI tokens to acquire two mobile gaming titles with a strong user base. These titles include Bored Button, which has over five million installs and more than 200,000 monthly average users (MAUs), and Mom’s Kitchen, a game that has been downloaded over 150,000 times and boasts over 8,000 MAUs.

Taki Games CEO Weiwei Geng emphasized the company’s dedication to building long-lasting web3 games.

With the integration of Quickswap, users on the Polygon network can freely trade TAKI, provide liquidity, and explore Taki’s stable web3 game offerings.
