NFT marketplace unveiled by mobile network provider in Hong Kong
China Mobile Hong Kong, a prominent mobile communication brand in Hong Kong, is set to launch its very own NFT marketplace called LinkNFT. This groundbreaking move coincides with the success of their all-inclusive smart living mobile application, MyLink, which has garnered an impressive user base of over seven million.
LinkNFT will provide businesses with NFT minting services, making it easier for them to create, trade, and circulate digital assets across different scenarios such as SocialFi, DeFi, and GameFi. To ensure seamless web3 interoperability, the marketplace will utilize a combination of cross-chain standards, including the web3 Center cross-chain service protocol, cross-chain adapter, and cross-chain smart contract.
Residents of Hong Kong will have convenient access to their digital assets, including Ethereum-based assets like Opensea, through the exclusive digital wallet “LinKey” offered by MyLink.
In collaboration with various sectors, China Mobile Hong Kong (CMHK) intends to release over 30 NFTs on LinkNFT. This collection will include 20 commemorative editions from the MyLink ArLink series, as well as 15 NFTs associated with publishers and music platforms like Migu Music. The total number of NFTs expected to be issued is projected to exceed 500,000.
Furthermore, MyLink’s Metaverse digital space has been enhanced to provide a comprehensive 3D immersive experience. This upgrade allows citizens of Hong Kong to create their own digital homes and explore a virtual city that replicates Hong Kong, complete with facilities such as shopping malls and exhibition halls. Citizens can also convert their Meta IDs into NFTs, fostering a distinctive digital community within the web3 ecosystem.
Mr. Tan Hui, the Executive Director of MyLink, expresses his excitement about this new venture, stating that it will enable enterprises to offer innovative consumer rights through various NFTs, while users can enjoy the value of collecting and circulating these unique digital assets.
