The collaboration will create Gucci Cosmos Land, an immersive hub where visitors can explore the brand’s iconic designs and learn about its history. Each section of the exhibition will showcase a different aspect of Gucci’s story, from its founding principles in 1921 to its inspirations and creativity. The Sandbox players will also have the opportunity to customize their avatars with new Gucci-inspired skins. This move further solidifies Gucci’s presence in the metaverse industry, following its previous venture into virtual land and the introduction of Gucci Vault, an area dedicated to NFTs and vintage goods. The announcement of the partnership caused a brief surge in SAND price, increasing by 7%.
