Disney and Dapper Labs set to unveil mobile app for NFTs
Disney has teamed up with Dapper Labs, the creators of NBA Top Shot, to launch a new NFT mobile app called Disney Pinnacle. This app, which will be available on mobile platforms, will feature unique NFTs in the form of badges, all powered by the Flow blockchain. The app is set to be released on the Apple App Store, and interested users can join the waitlist on the official website.
The exclusive early access release of Disney Pinnacle was made available to selected users at 9:00 A.M. Following this, the app will be made available for web browsers and the Google Play store at a later date, as confirmed by a representative from Dapper Labs.
Dapper Labs has a strong presence in the NFT space, having pioneered CryptoKitties, one of the earliest NFT projects. They also launched NBA Top Shot in collaboration with the NBA, which gained significant popularity during the NFT boom. Building on this success, Dapper expanded its offerings to include digital collectibles from other sports leagues, such as the NFL.
Disney Pinnacle aims to provide a similar experience, allowing users to trade digital “pins” featuring Disney’s beloved characters. This means that characters like Baby Yoda, Woody, Buzz from “Toy Story,” and Snow White could become valuable digital collectibles.
