CKB surges by 56% following the introduction of RGB++ client for Bitcoin

Nervos Network’s CKB token has experienced a significant surge of over 55% following the release of RGB++, an extension protocol aimed at enhancing compatibility with Bitcoin. According to data from CoinMarketCap, CKB’s trading volume has increased by over 1,800% in the past 24 hours, reaching $116.4 million. This surge has propelled the token to levels not seen since 2022. The exact reason behind this pump remains unclear, but it coincides with the release of RGB++, which builds upon RGB and utilizes the Lightning Network sidechain to address scalability challenges. The new protocol introduces enhanced transaction verification methods and aims to streamline processes such as token airdrops. The latest development has been hailed as an important step towards mass adoption and sustainability in the Bitcoin community by CELL Studio, a blockchain software development firm focused on Bitcoin and Nervos Network ecosystems. Founded in 2018, Nervos Network is dedicated to solving scalability and interoperability issues in the blockchain ecosystem. The project is leveraging the multi-purpose CKB token for transaction and storage fees, governance, and incentive programs.
