Core Mobile, the smartphone version of the popular Core wallet application, now allows users to stake AVAX and participate in network consensus on Avalanche, earning rewards. This exciting development was revealed in a press release exclusively shared with crypto.news.

Core Mobile is available for download on the Google Play and iOS App Store, giving users the ability to explore blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Avalanche. The wallet also supports decentralized finance (defi) and staking native assets. With Core Mobile, users can conveniently keep track of their staking progress on the go.

To start staking on Avalanche, users need to download and set up the Core Mobile wallet on their smartphone. After creating an account and adding a secondary authentication method, users must ensure they have at least 25 AVAX in their wallet, along with some extra for network fees. If funding the wallet from a centralized exchange, users should choose the C-Chain address displayed within the Core app. Once the deposit is credited, users can begin mobile staking.

When staking AVAX, it is crucial to choose a wallet with a user-friendly interface that supports the Avalanche blockchain network. Core Mobile offers a simple process for staking AVAX in just a few steps. Users can select the amount of AVAX they want to stake in the Staking section of the app and choose the minimum staking duration, starting at 14 days. For those looking to maximize their rewards, staking for longer periods is recommended. During the staking period, users cannot withdraw their staked AVAX until the lock period expires.

Core Mobile provides an automated system to select a node for staking on behalf of users. However, users also have the option to manually choose a node by selecting “Advanced Setup.” Once users have selected their preferred staking options, they can review a summary of their choices before finalizing their staking by clicking “Stake Now.” With Core Mobile, users can conveniently track their staking progress and view the rewards they have earned, all within the app.

Getting started with Avalanche staking is quick and easy with Core Mobile. The wallet offers a non-custodial solution, ensuring that users have full control over their assets. Users can also refer to external websites to stay updated on the latest information regarding expected AVAX rewards.
