Arbitrum and Azuki Unveil Web3 Network Catering to Anime Enthusiasts
Arbitrum Foundation and Azuki, a popular NFT brand, have joined forces to develop a web3 network catering to anime enthusiasts. This collaboration, known as AnimeChain, will encompass a range of anime-related content, including games, merchandise, and NFTs from both original and third-party sources.
Zagabond, the CEO of Azuki, took to social media to highlight the significance of AnimeChain. He emphasized that this venture will introduce a novel way for anime fans to create and consume anime products. In the past, anime enthusiasts have faced a fragmented experience in web3, with most anime-focused projects lacking seamlessness. However, AnimeChain aims to change this by leveraging Arbitrum’s more extensive scalability.
In March, the Arbitrum Foundation announced its commitment to allocate 200 million ARB tokens, valued at $344 million, to support gaming ventures on its blockchain over the next two years. Additionally, in February, Arbitrum made headlines when it announced its decision to fund a feature film by Shane Boris, an Oscar-winning producer.
According to DefiLlama, Arbitrum’s total value locked (TVL) has surpassed $3 billion this year. However, despite reaching its all-time high in January, the ARB token has experienced a decline of nearly 30% due to broader liquidation.
