Aptos, the blockchain startup, collaborates with io.net to revolutionize AI accessibility through decentralization.

Aptos Labs and io.net have joined forces to enhance access to scalable GPU resources in order to boost the capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. Aptos Labs, the company responsible for the Aptos blockchain ecosystem, aims to decentralize access to AI resources as more venture capital firms focus on this rapidly growing technology. The collaboration between io.net and Aptos Labs will involve the development of a range of AI models and inference products that will be released on the Aptos network. The partnership will leverage the Aptos network for facilitating payments. io.net’s generative AI product, BC8.ai, is already utilizing Aptos to process over 500,000 transactions daily, which is why the collaboration is being deepened. Both io.net and Aptos share a vision of de-risking and decentralizing AI applications on the Aptos platform. This partnership aligns with the increasing interest of investors in the potential synergies between blockchain and AI. A16z crypto, a crypto venture giant, highlighted in a research paper that blockchain networks could serve as a counterbalancing force to centralized AI, creating global, permissionless markets where anyone can contribute. Venture capital firms are also demonstrating a heightened interest in this intersection, with a significant amount of funding being allocated to AI companies in recent months. In February alone, over $4.7 billion was invested in AI companies, marking a notable increase from previous months.
