Top performing cryptocurrencies experience significant gains
Today’s top cryptocurrency gainers, according to CoinMarketCap, are Astar, Stacks, and Helium.
Astar has seen an impressive 34.16% increase in price, currently standing at $0.1072. This news coincides with Upbit, the largest crypto trading platform in South Korea, introducing the ASTR Korean Won trading pair, which has had a significant impact on the crypto community.
Taking the second spot on the charts is Stacks, with a 12.63% increase in the last 24 hours. This surge in price is in response to the Stacks blockchain, which serves as a Bitcoin layer for smart contracts, experiencing a surge in transaction volume. Block 132,377 on the Stacks chain recorded a record-breaking 10,371 transactions today, marking the highest transaction count in Stacks’ history.
Rounding out the top three gainers is Helium, with a current price of $7.72. The notable increase in Helium’s value is attributed to the successful introduction of its nationwide unlimited mobile services, priced competitively at $20 per month. This strategic move has resulted in the mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) accumulating an estimated 8,000 subscribers.
Despite a temporary decrease of 0.83% in Bitcoin, a report from Kaiko suggests that altcoin season may be approaching, and this prediction appears to be holding true.
