$18m raised in just 2 hours during Milady’s presale of the latest meme coin
Milady, an NFT project on the Solana network, has successfully raised a significant amount of funding through its presale of the meme coin Milady wif hat. The project managed to gather a total of 88,888 Solana (SOL), equivalent to $18 million based on the current Solana price.
The presale round reached its maximum funding goal and was closed a few hours after it began. Originally planned to last for 24 hours, the presale required a minimum investment of 1 SOL and offered a 100% token unlock on the token generation event (TGE), with 25% of the token supply made available.
On March 16, Charlotte Fang, the founder of NFT projects Milady and Remilia, confirmed a security breach that resulted in millions of dollars in damages. Fang explained that the hack affected all connected wallets and attributed it to an unknown malware that had infiltrated her password manager.
The incident was initially reported by specialists from Dumpster DAO, and experts from PeckShield observed that the suspicious transactions were preceded by the transfer of ownership of the treasury to the perpetrator.
This is not the first time Milady has faced security issues. In September 2023, Fang reported the theft of approximately $1 million by the developers of the Milady NFT ecosystem, as well as the hacking of the project’s social media accounts. Accounts associated with Milady, Remilia, and Remilio Baby were compromised during that incident.
