Nubit and Succinct Unveil Nuport to Link Blockchain Ecosystems
Polychain-supported modular blockchain platform Nubit, in collaboration with Web3 company Succinct, has unveiled Nuport—a novel interface that utilizes Nubit’s data availability layer to seamlessly connect multiple blockchains.
In a statement released on August 6, Nubit detailed that Nuport would facilitate connections to Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and other blockchain networks. This integration will be powered by Succinct SP1, a virtual machine that employs zero-knowledge technology, enabling developers to create real-world applications utilizing zero-knowledge proofs.
By leveraging Rust, the SP1 integration allows developers to access zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) using popular programming languages. Through Nubit’s data availability, any blockchain ecosystem can harness Succinct SP1, thus enabling high-throughput applications. This functionality will grant these projects the advantage of Bitcoin-backed data availability.
“By validating Nubit block headers with ZK proofs, Nuport inherits Nubit’s security guarantees, providing Bitcoin-secured data availability across any blockchain,” the Nubit team explained.
